Candace Evans, Owner & RYT-200
Candace Evans completed her RYT 200 in Ashaya Yoga with Randy Boyd, a style of yoga through the wisdom of Todd Norian. The mission of Ashaya is to "serve the evolution of consciousness on the planet and increase self-awareness, wholeness, healing, and freedom."
Candace has assisted several 200 hour yoga teacher trainings and aspires to learn and grow more every year. Candace has been practicing yoga for about 10 years. She took 2 semesters of yoga at Marshall University and swears you have to be "mentally ready" for yoga to accept the practice into your life. Many years later, she was finally "ready" for yoga thanks to Erin Larsen. Erin was diligent in asking Candace to come yoga class for a year(ish) until she accepted. Candace having a bodybuilder daddy, always thought the gym was the only way to fitness. Coming out of Erin's class her hips were rejoicing. A few months after accepting yoga into her day to day, she couldn't believe how changed her life for the better, mentally and physically, she strives to grow and learn everyday. She hopes to lay the groundwork for that change with her students. Be the light, share your light.

Geoff Heeter, RYT-200
My first exposure to yoga was in the mid 1960s! I was 4 or 5 years old watching and playing along as Uncle Henny, an Illinois Farmer who “did his stretches,” I know now he was doing yoga.
The first time I did yoga was in 1979 at an Outward Bound school on Hurricane Island in Maine. We did a sun salutation each morning. I kept that practice for years and then came back to yoga because my dear Friend Randy Boyd kept bugging me that it would help my aches and pains….He was right! Soo, now a few years later I love teaching classes of all kinds but beginners are my favorite. Geoff has studied yoga with some great teachers over the years and completed a 200-hour teacher training. He continues his training at workshops, seminars, by taking classes, and practicing, yet finds the most inspiring teachers are the students |

This heart centered and alignment based yoga practice provided the perfect balance between helping to heal her chronic pain and focusing on uplifting heart virtues that provided spiritual awakening and growth that has forever changed her life.
Shea completed her 200 hour Ashaya Yoga Teacher Certification through her mentor, Randy Boyd. Teaching yoga has quickly become a passion for her. After several years of soul searching, she has found the perfect balance of family, art, whitewater and yoga!

Janet Proctor admittedly was a “reluctant yogi” for 10+ years when she was first encouraged to try yoga by her Chiropractic doctor. At that time, her passion for weightlifting and running kept her off the yoga mat. “Weight lifting builds muscle from the outside in, but yoga builds muscle from the inside out” is the statement her doctor made and a quote she often repeats. Janet studied under Randy Boyd during these past years but also has been a dedicated Crossfitter as well. It was because of her Crossfit training, that Janet moved from being a “reluctant yogi” to a dedicated practitioner and completed her 200 RYT in Ashaya Yoga with Randy Boyd and Todd Norian in December of 2016. Janet has been teaching a yoga class specifically for crossfitters, powerlifters & athletes but all are welcome.
Since completing her 200 RYT Janet has continued to expand her knowledge base by attending workshops by Todd Norian, Doug Keller, and many others. Janet Proctor moved to WV in 1980 after graduation from The Art Academy of Cincinnati and began working with her husband in the Whitewater Rafting industry. After raising two sons, she received her Real Estate License and has worked at Century 21 Jim Lively Realty 13 years. In addition to Yoga Crossfit, Janet loves music, art, cooking, being outdoors and travel |
